Modelling the Land Share Business
A practical guide to running a land share project legally, from land finding to post-handover
Course Overview & Objectives
Course Overview & Objectives
In a land share project, a group of people pool money, buy land together and build on it. Done properly, it lets families own a flat or plot at a fair cost. Done badly, it ends in unregistered shares, missing money, a stalled building and years of cases between the members.
Most of these failures are not about construction. They are about structure and papers: how the group was formed, how the land was bought, how each member’s share was recorded, and who had the power to decide.
This course walks through a land share project from the first land search to the years after handover. We cover the legal structure, documentation, money handling, construction and handover, and the problems that come up in real projects, so organisers and members both know how a project should run.
